FileToCommit gains a UUID field. When set, the F card names that artifact verbatim and nothing is read or stored, reaching the internal manifest.File.UUID path that sparse checkouts already use. A caller that lists a parent's files can now commit with PartialManifest, dropping files, by naming the unchanged part of the tree instead of re-reading and resubmitting every byte of it. Both UUID and Content on one file is refused; so is a UUID the store does not hold outside an eliding cone. |
