— Retain received cfile containers and deltas verbatim on the clone client so delta compactness survives a clone-of-clone, verifying each reconstructed artifact's hash at the persist commit hook before storing the wire form rather than re-expanding every received delta to full form.

— Retain received cfiles verbatim on the clone client: store each artifact's received container or delta as-is after verifying its hash over the reconstructed content, so delta compactness survives clone-of-clone and client disk roughly halves — and reject a lying-named push the server previously accepted.
