• File src/main.zig
  • 2026-07-19 23:45:59 — part of check-in [254575cbd8] on branch s2-sync — Extract the sync verb family into src/cmd/sync.zig

Move the sync / network / store-transfer verbs — serve, clone, open, pack, pull, push, sync, remote — together with the helpers and tests private to them out of main.zig into a new src/cmd/sync.zig. This is a pure behaviour-preserving move: every relocated line is byte-identical to its main.zig source; only cmd/sync.zig's import prologue and the handlers' pub visibility are new.

Helpers still shared with other verbs stay in main.zig, now made pub and aliased back in cmd/sync.zig so the moved bodies call them by their original unqualified names. The verb-dispatch switch stays in main.zig and calls into the new file; main.zig's test block imports it so the moved inline tests keep running.

No behaviour change: the full test count is unchanged and the dead-file guard reaches cmd/sync.zig through the dispatch import, with no allowlist entry. (user: dmestas, size: 396514) [annotate] [blame] [check-ins using]

  • 2026-07-19 23:57:22 — part of check-in [47a2717952] on branch trunk — Merge s2-sync: extract the sync verb family into src/cmd/sync.zig

First of four family extractions from main.zig. A pure behaviour- preserving move: the eight network and store-transfer handlers -- serve, clone, open, pack, pull, push, sync, remote -- and the helpers private to them move verbatim into src/cmd/sync.zig, byte-identical to their source but for the pub visibility the file boundary forces on the handlers the dispatch switch still calls. Helpers shared with other verbs stay in main.zig, aliased back so the moved bodies read unchanged. No helper is duplicated and no cross-cmd import is created; the test count is unchanged, so nothing was orphaned. main.zig keeps main, the verb dispatch, and the shared helpers.
