The 3,000,000 retained-entry cap and the 1,000,000 event cap both bound by proxy with a round number attached, and each stopped legitimate imports before the real bound was reached. Bytes already bound what costs: max_retained_bytes for retained state, max_total_data for payload. Deleting max_export_events alone was a no-op because the reader carries the same default, so it is now passed maxInt explicitly.
