push --user saved the derived secret, but the resolver returned anonymous the instant --user was absent, so autosync (which pushes with no arguments) always went anonymous and a peer requiring a login refused it. With --user absent the saved login now stands in, never prompting; --user "" still forces anonymous. push, sync and config pull share the resolver.
