# zit 0.1.1
zit 0.1.1 is a portability and correctness release over 0.1.0. It keeps the
same Fossil RFC revision-00 scope while making the supported repository and
working-tree operations reliable on native Linux as well as macOS.
## Highlights
- Adds native ReleaseSafe qualification for Linux x86-64 and Linux ARM64.
- Corrects Linux filesystem error classification and permission-test behavior.
- Makes repository iteration deterministic and preserves the intended file
semantics across platforms.
- Corrects update/undo handling for file-to-directory and directory-to-file
transitions, including nested paths.
- Makes Fossil interoperability smoke tests use ephemeral loopback ports and
contain all spawned Fossil processes, eliminating fixed-port collisions and
detached backoffice workers.
- Expands CI to dedicated macOS ARM64, Linux x86-64, and Linux ARM64 runners
with pinned Zig 0.16.0 checksums.
## Qualification
Each published native binary is built from the same checksum-pinned source
archive with Zig 0.16.0 in ReleaseSafe mode. The platform battery comprises:
- formatting and native build;
- the complete unit and end-to-end suites;
- deterministic simulation, seed 1 for 1,000 steps;
- all 27 fuzz targets, seed 1 for 100 rounds each; and
- repeated Fossil 2.28 interoperability runs covering scenarios S1-S8:
three consecutive runs on macOS ARM64 and ten on each Linux platform.
The release manifest records the exact artifact checksums and source identity.
## Compatibility
The command-line version string is:
```text
zit 0.1.1 (targets Fossil RFC rev 00)
```
The feature scope and deliberate limitations remain those documented for
0.1.0; this release hardens that implementation rather than expanding it.
