Template Staged Reference Material

This directory is for support-only staged material used during local source, reference, and evidence work for a project pack.

Typical staged items include:

• copied source excerpts,
• sample payloads or exported artifacts,
• fixture manifests,
• scraped reference snapshots,
• comparison notes,
• temporary indexes showing where evidence lives.

Canonical versus staged

• ../references.md is the curated authoritative reference, terminology, and dependency map.
• ../corpus-brief.md is the canonical statement of source authority and evidence-routing rules.
• Files in this directory are local support material only.

If a staged file contains an important lasting conclusion, promote that conclusion into the canonical pack docs instead of leaving it stranded here.

Ignore guidance

Copied or bulky source files placed here should normally remain ignored rather than treated as canonical checked-in content. Keep this directory as a workbench, not as the project's source of truth.

It is normal for this directory to begin with only this README.
