large files arrive: size-gate the highlighter and cache it by content
Highlighting was paid on every request with no cache, and its cost tracks token density: sqlite's btree.c, 407KB of dense C, took 490ms and rendered 2.3MB of HTML. selected reads as the accent, not a grey wash
nav.seg-box (the tickets tabs) filled a.here with --surface, which is one value for both themes by design and so lands heavy on the light paper — and hover used the same value, making a hovered tab and the current one identical.
