- sym-v0.12.0=Release v0.12.0 go-libfossil now conforms to the Fossil Internet-Drafts it is tested against. These are artifact-format-01, repo-state-01 and sync-protocol-01 with the 2026-10-13 errata, and delta-format-00. Every one of the 415 requirements has a passing case, checked against fossil 2.28. One row is bounded: the draft asks a client that is about to commit to write a baseline manifest, and go-libfossil never commits during a sync. Behavior changes to check when upgrading: - Clone no longer pulls the artifacts its clone rounds left missing. Set CloneOpts.PullPhantoms for the old behavior. - The sync server holds the write lock for a whole request, so concurrent syncs to one repository wait for each other. - A received file whose content does not match its hash rolls back the whole round and ends the sync. - The leaf table is maintained incrementally, as fossil does, and date tags and branch-type requests follow the drafts. New API includes Checkout.ResolveVersion, Checkout.ResolveWorking, Repo.SetHashPolicy, Repo.CurrentTrunk, Repo.BranchOpenLeaf, Repo.ResolveBranchStart, CloneOpts.PullPhantoms, share-links mode and db.DB.WithBoundTx. See CHANGELOG.md for the full list. added by [feba1ab878] on 2026-10-13 17:32:47

Initial open source release
libfossil is a pure-Go implementation of the Fossil SCM, reading and writing the same .fossil SQLite repository format as upstream Fossil. This is the first public release of code that previously lived in a private repository. The module path is github.com/danmestas/libfossil and the binary is named libfossil to avoid $PATH collisions with upstream fossil. Included: - Repo lifecycle (create, clone), checkout/checkin, timeline, merge, diff, annotate, shun, tag, branch, bisect, stash, undo/redo - Sync-over-HTTP protocol (client and handler) - Two SQLite drivers: modernc (pure Go, default) and ncruces (wasm-capable) - Observer interfaces (SyncObserver, CheckoutObserver) with an optional OpenTelemetry implementation in observer/otel (separate submodule) - Deterministic simulation testing harness with BUGGIFY fault injection - Kong-based embeddable CLI under cli/ and a standalone binary under cmd/libfossil/ check-in: f5744359d3 user: [email protected] tags: trunk | |
