- sym-v0.16.1=Release v0.16.1 go-libfossil now follows draft-fossil-horizon-00 as zit 0.7.2 released it (pinned at caeef421ee): - Seed D card: a seed's D is the latest tag event in the whole repository, cancels and propagated rows included (§5.2.2). Cancelling the newest tag, or reopening a closed branch, no longer makes a structural clone refuse the next seed. Seeds stay byte-identical with zit 0.7.2's. - Receive rule (§5.2.3): a pull, clone or sync drops a seed it receives as soon as it can read it, and never asks for its hash again. A seed-shaped artifact completed in a later round is kept but never linked, announced or sent. A delta kept without its base is not announced or served until it can be expanded. - CI interop is pinned to zit 0.7.2, and the seed-date test can no longer skip. Upgrading: - Upgrade origins too. A clone on v0.16.1 pulling from an origin still on v0.16.0 can refuse a re-seed after a tag cancel until the origin upgrades. Known limitation (#483): shunning and purging a tag artifact can lower D, so structural clones fall back to the content horizon until they deepen. zit 0.7.2 behaves the same way; the fix needs a draft change. Initial open source release
libfossil is a pure-Go implementation of the Fossil SCM, reading and writing the same .fossil SQLite repository format as upstream Fossil. This is the first public release of code that previously lived in a private repository. The module path is github.com/danmestas/libfossil and the binary is named libfossil to avoid $PATH collisions with upstream fossil. Included: - Repo lifecycle (create, clone), checkout/checkin, timeline, merge, diff, annotate, shun, tag, branch, bisect, stash, undo/redo - Sync-over-HTTP protocol (client and handler) - Two SQLite drivers: modernc (pure Go, default) and ncruces (wasm-capable) - Observer interfaces (SyncObserver, CheckoutObserver) with an optional OpenTelemetry implementation in observer/otel (separate submodule) - Deterministic simulation testing harness with BUGGIFY fault injection - Kong-based embeddable CLI under cli/ and a standalone binary under cmd/libfossil/ check-in: f5744359d3 user: [email protected] tags: trunk | |
