feat(annotate): report lines from at or below a structural horizon
draft-fossil-horizon-00 §5.5 requires an operation needing history below the horizon to detect the crossing and name the horizon. Annotating back past C stopped at the parent the store does not hold and credited every remaining line to the oldest version it reached, presenting a guess as an attribution. The walk now asks content.BelowHorizon about the parent it could not load; when it lies below the structural horizon, the lines left without credit are marked BelowHorizon and reported against the horizon's check-in. The public AnnotatedLine carries the flag, and repo annotate prints such lines against ^<horizon> with one trailing note naming the horizon and repo cone deepen. A content horizon holds every manifest, so BelowHorizon never fires there; a conformance case clones both depths to show it. Initial open source release
libfossil is a pure-Go implementation of the Fossil SCM, reading and writing the same .fossil SQLite repository format as upstream Fossil. This is the first public release of code that previously lived in a private repository. The module path is github.com/danmestas/libfossil and the binary is named libfossil to avoid $PATH collisions with upstream fossil. Included: - Repo lifecycle (create, clone), checkout/checkin, timeline, merge, diff, annotate, shun, tag, branch, bisect, stash, undo/redo - Sync-over-HTTP protocol (client and handler) - Two SQLite drivers: modernc (pure Go, default) and ncruces (wasm-capable) - Observer interfaces (SyncObserver, CheckoutObserver) with an optional OpenTelemetry implementation in observer/otel (separate submodule) - Deterministic simulation testing harness with BUGGIFY fault injection - Kong-based embeddable CLI under cli/ and a standalone binary under cmd/libfossil/ check-in: f5744359d3 user: [email protected] tags: trunk | |
