# fossil-skin

Dark theme, accessibility layer, and landing page for [fossil.craftdesign.group](https://fossil.craftdesign.group/).

## What's in this repo

| Path | Description |

| `skin/css.txt` | All CSS — design tokens, layout, dark-mode overrides for Fossil's built-in elements |
| `skin/header.txt` | TH1 header template injected on every Fossil page |
| `skin/footer.txt` | TH1 footer template |
| `skin/apply.py` | Pushes skin files to all repo SQLite configs |
| `www/index.html` | Custom landing page served by Caddy at `/` |
| `www/a11y.js` | Accessibility + dark-mode JS loaded on every page |
| `Caddyfile` | Reverse proxy config: static assets + Fossil upstream |
| `docs/SETUP.md` | Full from-scratch server setup guide |
| `docs/SKIN.md` | Skin architecture and dark-mode override techniques |

## Quick deploy

After making changes locally:

```
fossil commit -m "describe change"
fossil push
```

Then on the VPS:

```
cd /tmp/fossil-skin-checkout && fossil update
cp -r skin/* /var/fossil/skin/
cp -r www/* /var/fossil/www/
python3 /var/fossil/skin/apply.py
```

## Clone

```
fossil clone https://dmestas@fossil.craftdesign.group/fossil-skin/ fossil-skin.fossil
```
